The 2010 Spike Video Game Awards revealed a trailer for the upcoming game, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but perhaps more importantly, a release date of November 11, 2011, was revealed as well. Since then, details have been surfacing regarding the upcoming game, such as what the story may be, the combat system, and the redesigned menus.

Most recently, a Danish game magazine by the name of Game Reactor featured an interview with Bethesda that included two new screens that show more of the upcoming game.

This screenshot continues to show off the impressive graphics of the upcoming title, looking very much like a real pond one would find while exploring the nearby woods. This could also be connected to the already released screenshot of the town in the mountains, though this is just speculation.

This one shows what is most likely a tavern of sorts that a player would find in a town they would travel to. Would this just be a place for your character to rest up after a long battle, or is this place more integral to the plot of the game? We’ll just have to wait and see. Even the barmaid seen here could become an important part of the game, depending on how things progress.

With all the speculation surrounding the upcoming game, one has to wonder about all the theories created in regards to this title. Is the story going to herald the end of the franchise, as has been hinted at? Are you guys looking forward to how your actions will affect the tale surrounding your character? Or are you just wanting to take on some dragons?

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is set to come out on November 11, 2011, for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
