Those in attendance were shown a short teaser trailer for the as-of-yet untitled game and told that Silent Hill: Homecoming developer, Double Helix, is definitely not involved. Instead, it is being developed by a new studio for the franchise, Vatra Games, the developer behind the upcoming Rush ’n Attack remake.

The teaser trailer was extremely light on details - it featured a blonde man sitting on a bed holding his head in his hands. The world around him morphs into a dark, deserted road in front of a dilapidated gate. The man hears a sound, and turns to investigate, but sees nothing. He then gets attacked by something from the darkness when he turns back. A title card then appears promising that, “The Silence Ends At E3.”

There’s currently no word as to what platform the game is being developed for, or if the game is a totally new title or a re-imagining a la Shattered Memories. But as the trailer said, I’m sure we will be inundated with new information at this year’s E3 in June.
