The Siegfried & Roy show was an act that ran from 1990 to 2003 and featured two tiger handlers, Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn, who held shows at the Mirage Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show ended when Horn was attacked by the tiger onstage and dragged off by the tiger, leaving Horn with a severed spine and massive injuries all-around.

The Tiger King episode featuring the duo has been said by Dr. James Liu, a production member for Tiger King, to be a “higher-minded corrective” to the original Netflix docuseries. Another person related to the show’s production denied this claim, saying it was “untrue that the direction is going in a more conservational route.”
Tiger King is s still seeing continued success, as suggested by the new episode centered around Siegfried & Roy. While it is likely building off the success of the original docuseries, the announcement comes just as Roy Horn has passed from COVID-19 complications. Hopefully, the Siegfried & Roy episode will do the duo justice and present as compelling content as Joe Exotic’s escapades had to offer.
Tiger King is currently available to stream on Netflix.
