The Trading Post opened its doors with Patch 10.0.5 of World of Warcraft Dragonflight, introducing a new way for players to unlock cosmetic elements by completing in-game activities. This feature aims to reward players for having a monthly subscription and remaining active in the game, granting them a new in-game currency called Trader’s Tender when they complete a monthly set of activities. Players can then trade their Trader’s Tender against cosmetic elements, pets, and mounts in new buildings located in Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

On top of these monthly rewards, the Trading Post comes with an achievement for players who successfully complete the monthly challenges for 12 months. This achievement, called Trading Post Enthusiast, unlocks the Burden of Unrelenting Justice ensemble, one of the most awaited cosmetic elements in World of Warcraft, allowing players to wear Sun and Moon Night Elf Warden gear.
Although unlocking this Dragonflight reward takes one year, the achievement does not require players to complete Trading Post tasks for 12 months in a row. Players are able to skip a month and still be eligible to complete the Trading Post Enthusiast achievement and unlock the Burden of Unrelenting Justice ensemble. However, World of Warcraft players complained about having the cosmetic set locked behind a 12-month subscription requirement.
While they wait to complete their Trading Post challenges and unlock the new warden armor, Dragonflight players can access other cosmetic elements to further customize their characters. World of Warcraft added white and grey items to the transmogrification feature, offering a new range of cosmetics gear for players to wear. The Trading Post also brings additional sets of transmog options, with new rewards available each month. February monthly rewards include the Celestial Steed mount, a small cyclops pet called Garrlok, as well as various armor sets and cosmetic cloaks and weapons. Every World of Warcraft player received 500 Trader’s Tender in their Collector’s Cache to celebrate the launch of the Trading Post and help with their first in-game purchase.
World of Warcraft is available now on PC.
