Bryan Thompson, of New Jersey, has been arrested and faces several charges including robbery, assault, resisting arrest and reckless driving, the New York Police Department (NYPD) said in a statement to Newsweek. The NYPD said that just after 6:30 p.m. three people—an 18-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man—were struck over the head with “a wooden weapon” while waiting for a train on the northbound No. 1 line platform inside the Canal Street subway station....

The city’s health department announced on Thursday that a temporary clinic at the Chelsea Sexual Health Clinic will be opened to administer the two-dose Jynneos vaccine to eligible individuals who have been recently exposed to monkeypox. However, by Thursday afternoon, the health department tweeted that it would not allow anymore walk-ins for the day and that appointments were booked through Monday, but individuals opting for the vaccine were advised to check back on Sunday for next week appointments....

Newburgh City Councilman Omari Shakur was recorded hurling abuse at police officers while refusing to hand over his license and registration in the 25-minute clip, which was obtained by Mid Hudson News. During the footage, Shakur can be seen on his cellphone, sitting in his SUV in the middle of Carpenter Avenue, while Newburgh police officers speak to him. The customer, whose tirade was caught on camera and reported by Fox 5 San Diego, also appears to castigate the staff member over his ability to speak English. The man is also seen repeatedly slapping the counter and demanding pizza during his rant, despite the worker telling him he does not wish to serve him. In a video of the incident which took place at Little Vincent’s Pizza in Huntington, Long Island, that was shared on YouTube last month, a worker at the restaurant is seen warning the customer that he will call the police....
